Camille (Dubreuil) Chenard

October 9, 1927 ~ November 28, 2017 (age 90) 90 Years Old

Camille D. Chenard, 90, of Southington, formerly of New Britain, passed away Tuesday, November 28, 2017.  She was born in Biddeford, Maine where she lived for 26 years, daughter of the late Hervey and Lily (Houle) Dubreuil. After meeting and marrying her soulmate Reginald, the pair moved to Hartford, CT where they lived for 6 years prior to settling down for 45 years in New Britain, CT.  Camille was an avid member and secretary at St. Joseph Parish for over 40 years when she retired.  She was also a Eucharist Minister and Reader for the church. Camille’s passion, second to her family, was being an artist. She was a member of the New Britain Art League for many years and has one of her historical landscape paintings in the Portland Museum of Art. Camille is survived by her four children Bertrand L. Chenard and his wife Lois of Waterford, CT, Paul H. Chenard and his wife Rebecca of Cummings, GA, Susan M. Chenard of Middletown, CT, and Louise Petroka and her husband Brent also of Middletown, CT; eight grandchildren James and Lynn Chenard, Daniel and Brian Chenard, Jessie and Gabrielle Petroka and Reem and Ali Telmesani; and one sister Geraldine Litalien of Biddeford, ME.  She was predeceased by her sister Muriel Nolette. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated Monday, December 4, 2017 directly at St. Joseph Church, 195 S. Main St., New Britain, CT 06051. Burial will be held privately on Tuesday at Saint Joseph Cemetery in Biddeford, Maine.  Friends and family may call at Luddy-Peterson Funeral Home, 205 S. Main St., New Britain on Sunday, December 3, 2017 from 1-4PM.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Camille’s memory may be made to Food for the Poor Inc., 6401 Lyons Rd., PO Box 979004, Coconut Creek, FL 33097.
