Christopher (Neafe) Esnard, 64, of Plainville, CT passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 7th, 2017.  He was born July 23, 1953 on the island of Saint Lucia, to the late Martina and Morris Esnard. Christopher was an entrepreneur and a skilled jack-of-all trades with a mastered profession as an electronic technician. 

He is survived by his sons Neafe Kemba Esnard and Vincent Shaw; his sisters Aurelia Mabel Downes, Alexandrine Mauricia Mitchell, Emma Merlyn O’Reilly; his brothers Augustus “Gus” Esnard,  Matthias Ray Esnard; nieces and nephews Andre Esnard-Downes, Ross Downes, Melanie Downes, Danzel Esnard, Darren O’Reilly, Jason O’Reilly, Letisha Esnard, Dawne Kalin Esnard, Creole Claudine Esnard, Wendy Charmaine Esnard; his brothers and sisters-in-law William Tyrone Mitchell, Steve O’Reilly, Martina Haynes-Esnard, Maxine Esnard; 10 great nieces and nephews, his goddaughter Kesia Berry and her mother Gladys Berry, who was a dear friend. 

A funeral mass will be held at St. Joseph’s Church, 195 S. Main St., New Britain, on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 10AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Christopher’s memory may be made to the Connecticut Humane Society, 701 Russell Rd., Newington, CT 06111 or online at www.CTHumane.org/ or the charity of the donor’s choice.
