Eugene Papolio

Eugene “Gino” Papolio, 77, of West Hartford, went to be with his Savior on Saturday, January 27th, 2018 at UConn Health center.  Gino was born January 30th, 1940 in Hartford, Connecticut.  Gino cherished his lifelong career as a Quality Assurance inspector at Colt Firearms.  He worked there for 52 years and recently retired in June of 2016.  He also worked as the shop steward at U.A.W.  Gino enjoyed taking time to get to the shooting range to practice target shooting and loved to spend quality time with his beloved family and friends. Gino is survived by his loving wife Joanne (Sirois) Papolio; his 2 daughters Dianna and husband Frank Williams; and Gina and husband Tony Lopreiato;  He also leaves behind 4 grandchildren Erica and Ben Williams, and Melissa and Anthony Lopreiato.  Calling hours for Gino will be held at Luddy-Peterson Funeral Home, 205 South Main St., New Britain from 6pm to 7:30 pm with a short service to follow at 7:30pm to 8pm.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Heart Society, 5 Brookside Dr. Wallingford, CT 06492 or by online at https://donatenow.heart.org/
