Frances (Giacchino) Bartholomew

Frances “Fran” “Chica” (Giacchino) Bartholomew, 89, of Willimantic, CT. died suddenly on February 28th, 2018 from health complications at Windham Memorial Hospital. She was born on December 9th, 1928 in Manhattan, New York. She was the daughter to the late Salvatore “Samuel” and Rosina “Rosa” Giacchino.  Frances leaves behind her children Diane (Dubois) and husband Thomas Stefon of Baltic, CT., Joseph Dubois and wife Lise of Jewett City, CT., Marlene Jones and Reynaldo Soto of Willimantic, CT., Donna and Regina Leach and Lynnette (Tennant) Hogaboom of Springfield, MO. She also leaves behind her grandchildren Jeremy, Meghan, Shawn, Sherrie, Jason, Joshua, Danny, Jessica, Angela, Cassandra, Charles and 19 great-grandchildren. Her last surviving sister, Josephine Cirrincione of Long Island, NY. and many nieces and nephews. Fran is predeceased by her son Daniel Lambert, grandson Jeremy Dubois, sisters Mary Wyszmoierski and Rose Cerreto, brothers Anthony and James Giacchino, and her beloved niece Rosemary (Cerreto) Philips. Fran was employed and retired from Rogers Corporation, South Windham CT. Fran was an avid reader, enjoyed following the Uconn Huskies basketball teams, knitting beautiful afghans for family and friends, cross stitching and playing her favorite quarter machine Sizzling 777’s at Mohegan Sun. Funeral Mass Service will be held on Monday April 9th, 2018 at 10am at St. Mary’s Church, 46 Valley St. Willimantic, CT. followed with a burial at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, 134 Club Rd.
