Joanne Monzillo

Joanne Nizeul Monzillo fought a long battle with lung cancer, she finally came to rest with her family by her side on Feb.24, 2018 at 2:48 pm at HOCC, New Britain, Ct. She was born Oct.23,1947 in Greencastle, Ind. Daughter of Joseph S. Nizeul Sr and Mildred Snow Nizeul both deceased. She is survived by her husband Joseph M. Monzillo Jr. and a son Michael Daniels. Siblings; Vivian Bachteler, Joseph Nizeul Jr., Linda Serafin, April Saccoccio, Lori Shepard, Vicki Urbowicz, Mark Nizeul, Tammy Ortiz, and Christina Nizeul. Predeased by a sister Lillian "Sandy" Lamoreux Stepchildren; Joseph J. Monzillo, Sarah Monzillo and Matthew Monzillo. 3 Surviving aunts; Anna Wilson, Georgia Dingwell and Henrietta Peruta. Many nieces, nephews and cousins whom she loved dearly. She was a friend of Bill W. Joanne has been a resident of New Britain for 19 years. She was a former employee of Magson Uniform, Kensington, Citgo, Berlin and also a home health aide for Interm Health. Besides enjoying time with her family, friends and neighbors, she loved to go to bingo with her sisters at the casino, playing pool with her husband, she also enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, fishing, gardening and scratch tickets. She spent her evenings on facebook and playing games online. She lived her life to the fullest
