Philip Lavallee

June 6, 1932 ~ December 21, 2017 (age 85) 85 Years Old

Philip A Lavallee, Sr (85) passed away with his family at his side on December 21st, 2017 of natural causes. He was born in Manchester, NH June 6th, 1932 to the late Alide and Grace Lavallee. He grew up on a farm in New Boston, NH. He joined the Navy in 1952 and is a veteran of the Korean conflict. He had a love for automobiles, motorcycles, farming and hunting. He relocated to Connecticut with his wife Evelyn in the late 50’s and settled into a career in the automotive industry and working the small farm that they had purchased. After he retired, he traveled the country by motorcycle. He was also a member of the Oakdale Rod and Gun club where he served as their president for several years. He continued his love for gardening by growing a small vegetable garden and giving the produce away to his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his sons, Philip Jr. (Shelley), Carl, Robert, daughter Sandra. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Amanda, Dylan, Brandon, Christopher, Megan, Trevor, his sister Margaret Boecherer and brother Alide Lavallee, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

There will be a Celebration of Life at Bozrah Centre Congregational Church (17 Bozrah St.) on Saturday January 6th, 2018. Calling hours will be at 11am, followed by a service at 12pm and a luncheon at 1pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a donation be made to the American Lung Association
