Richard Matos

Richard Matos, 48, of Hartford, passed away unexpectedly on April 5, 2018.  Born on November 18, 1969 in Hartford, he was the son of Leonor (Camacho) and the late Ramon Matos.

Richard lived in Hartford all of his life leaving behind a lifetime of memories. He enjoyed watching sports, playing darts and cruising. He loved working in the field of Maintenance Engineering but his most important passion was taking care of his son Richard.

Aside from his mother, Leonor (Camacho) Matos, Richard is survived by the light of his life, his son Richard A. Matos and Richard’s mother Melissa Rosario; three brothers Ruben Matos and his wife Maritza, Raymond Matos and his partner Karen, and Rene Matos and his wife Gladys; and his sister Brunilda Matos; as well as many nieces, nephews, friends and family.  He is predeceased by his father Ramon Matos and by his sister Suzanna Matos.

Services will be held on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at 10:30am at Luddy-Peterson Funeral Home, 205 S. Main St., New Britain, CT. Calling hours will be held prior to the service from 9-10:30am. Internment will follow at Mount Saint Benedict Cemetery, 1 Cottage Grove Rd., Bloomfield, CT.
