Fortunata 'Faye' DeCato Levenduski entered into eternal rest on March 8, 2019 after a long illness. She is survived by her beloved husband, Joseph, her devoted companion who never left her side for 64 years. Faye is also survived by her only son Joseph (Kathleen) Levenduski and her 3 grandchildren, Michele (Jared) Downing, Brian (Jennifer) Levenduski, and Kyle Levenduski; her 2 great-grandchildren Arlo and Lyra Downing; and her brother Anthony DeCato.
Faye was born on October 1, 1925 in New Haven, CT to the late James and Madeline Esposito DeCato, growing up on Wooster Street. As a young woman, Faye worked at Strouse Alder in New Haven, CT., later married and moved, where she became a longtime parishioner of St. Louis Church in West Haven, CT. Faye enjoyed playing bingo and passing time at the casino. She is predeceased in death by her parents and her sisters, Raffaela (Arthur) Colella, Josephine (Benjamin) Gilhuly and Phyllis DeCato.
There will be no calling hours for Faye. Instead, a Mass will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2019 at 4pm at St. Louis Roman Catholic Church, 89 Bull Hill Ln., West Haven, CT
