Frederick Boris, Sr.

Frederick Boris, Sr., 86, of Meriden, passed away on January 6, 2019. He was born in Meriden on October 20, 1932 to the late Michael and Nellie Boris.  

He is survived by his sons Frederick Boris, Jr. and his wife Rosanne of Durham, and Michael Boris of Meriden; his granddaughters, Shelby Boyle and her husband Griffin of FL, and Katelyn Boris of Durham, CT; his grandson Frederick Boris, III; and great-grandchildren Raelynn and Emmett Boyle. Frederick is predeceased by his wife Barbara Boris, whom he was married to for almost 60 years; his brothers Alex, John, and Walter; and his sister Zana (Boris) Tarnowski.

Frederick was a model family man. He was also an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed hunting and commercial saltwater fishing for which he had a registered business B & F Fish. Frederick also had a vegetable garden which he loved tending to. He enjoyed spending time in Hawaii and the Florida Keys. Frederick was a member of the CT Gun Guild and the CT Central Striper Club.
