Kathleen (Gormley) Nyquist

Kathleen Ann (Gormley) Nyquist, 63 of New Britain, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, November 28, 2018. She was the daughter of the late Paul and Eileen (Ryan) Gormley. Kathleen was raised in New Britain and started her family there too. She even worked for many years as an RN in the emergency department at New Britain General Hospital.

Kathleen leaves behind her loving husband of 41 years, Charles ‘Jeff’ Nyquist. She also leaves behind her children, Adam Nyquist and his wife Cynthia of Monroe, Louisiana, and Shayla DeVito and her husband Chris, of Trumbull, CT; her brothers Kevin and David Gormley; her sisters Maryann Soroka, Peggy McCarthy, and Maureen Blacker; her grandchildren Abby and Ryan DeVito, and Arthur and Madeline Nyquist; and many nieces nephews and cousins.

Family and friends are invited to call at the Luddy Peterson Funeral Home, 205 S., Main St., New Britain on Saturday, December 1, 2018 from 11AM – 1PM. In lieu of flowers please make charitable donation to: American Cancer Society.
