September 2, 1960 ~ November 26, 2017 (age 57) 57 Years Old

Kathleen DuPont Rasmussen, 57, beloved wife of Keld Rasmussen, died Sunday November 26, 2017.  She was the daughter of Gloria (Zagorodny) DuPont and the late Donald John DuPont.  She is survived by four siblings, Debralynn Craven and husband Sean, of Florida, Donald DuPont Jr. of Tolland, Karen Elliott and husband Robert, of Tolland, Mary DuPont and fiancé Jonathan Frey, of Vernon; two beloved daughters Nicole Villalobos and husband, Juan of Colchester, Ashley Griffith of Colchester; and four nieces, Mariah Langlois and husband CJ, Bailey Elliott, and Abigail and EvelynTyrrell.

Kathleen grew up in Tolland and attended Tolland High school before attending Manchester Community College. She was employed by Robinson & Cole and remained a respected and long term employee of 27 years.  Together with her first husband, Thomas Griffith, they built a beautiful house in Columbia as well as had two beautiful daughters.  She loved spending time with her family, camping, blasting Neil Diamond every day of the week (especially while cleaning,) drinking coffee, collecting Peter Pan snow globes and going on her annual Casino Trip with her sisters and mother.  She loved watching her two daughters grow up and attended their soccer games, school plays and graduations.

On Thanksgiving, November 23, 2010 Kathleen married her best friend and soul mate Keld Rasmussen, surrounded by family and friends.  Together Kathy and Keld shared their love of traveling and camping. When they retired they created a blog to document their traveling adventures in the RV they affectionately named “Fred.”  They loved to see the world together and had amazing experiences in places including Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Belgium, Holland, France, Austria, Italy, Spain and Costa Rica.  They spent the warmer weather with friends and family and during the winter months they spent their time traveling throughout the southern U.S., making memories and living life to the fullest.

In keeping with Kathleen’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. However, after the holidays, there will be a Celebration of Life held in the spring.
