Linda Ruth Pettersen

Linda Ruth Pettersen, 71, passed away March 7, 2019 at Hartford Hospital. Linda was born in Waterbury, CT to the late Ruth (Mohrmann) and Harold Pettersen. She was formerly from Watertown and was a long time resident of Winsted, CT. She was preceded in death by her parents and by her older brother, Edward Pettersen.

Linda was talented artistically and was happiest when being creative. Her mediums of choice were watercolor and oils, and she also enjoyed creating hand painted greeting cards.
Linda is survived by her loving cousin, Paula (Pettersen) (George) Duffey of Bloomingdale, IL; sister-in-law, Mary Pettersen, of Punta Gorda, FL; her aunt, Emily Mohrmann, of Middlebury, CT. Linda felt blessed to have dear and caring friends in her life, Charles Gross of Winsted, Mary Vincent of Barkhamsted, and the late Linda Beale, life-long friend, of Torrington, CT.
Linda had a strong faith in God and was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in New Hartford, CT. She was formerly a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Waterbury, CT where her grandfather, the late John N.C. Mohrmann, was pastor.
