Marly L. Anderson

Marly Anderson passed away on October 16, 2018 at Ledgecrest Nursing Home in Kensington, CT. She was 86 years old. Marly was born on September 4, 1932 in Inwood Long Island, NY to John and Anna (Arneth) Anderson.  She was the youngest of four children. Marly had a master’s degree in English Literature from Central Connecticut State University.  While she held many jobs throughout the years, she was most proud of the time she spent teaching English at Central Connecticut State University and at the University of Connecticut.  Marly loved to read and write. She especially loved reminiscing and telling stories of her life. She enjoyed fashion and was always dressed to the nines.

Marly is survived by her husband, ex-husband, and her partner in life, Augusto Oliviero; her daughter Robin and her husband Donald Lahue; and her son Dante Oliviero and his partner in life Monique Thibodeau and her daughters Amanda, Megan, and Katie and their families. She also leaves behind her grandchildren Jason Lahue and his wife Allison, Alyssa and Chrysandra Oliviero, and Dillon Oliviero; along with her great-grandchildren Katelyn, Devin, Lyndsay, Chelsea, Robert, and Aaliyah; and many nieces and nephews.

Marly was predeceased by her son Robert, and her sisters Anna, Gloria, and Loris.

There will be a Memorial Service on Thursday, October 25, 2018 from 5:00-7:00pm at Luddy Peterson Funeral Home located at 205 South Main Street in New Britain, CT.

The family would like to thank the dedicated professionals of the Masonicare Hospice team along with the many people who cared for her at Ledgecrest.
