Mary Rabbito Obituary

MARY F. (MANNIX) RABBITO, 77, of Milford, Connecticut, passed away peacefully at Connecticut Hospice on May 13, 2019.  Mary was born in New Haven, Connecticut on June 18, 1941. She was a graduate of Hillhouse High School. She worked at various jobs throughout her lifetime but found her place at Bridges in Milford, helping patients and office staff feel comfortable with her warm smile and great sense of humor!

Mary was married to Richard Rabbito (Molly) for 24 years and they raised two daughters. After their amicable parting they remained friends. Mary is survived by daughters Susan Jongekryg (Jim), and Kym Rabbito (Dimitri). She is also survived by her dear sister Ann Mannix (Charles), with whom she was very close. She will also be missed greatly by her grandchildren Tony Perretta (Carly), Rachael Perretta (Kyle), Isabella Szebelledy, Eva Szebelledy, and a great-grandchild, Ruby June, with whom she found great joy in her last days. Mary is also survived by her partner of many years, Thomas Leggett. She also leaves behind numerous cousins with whom she spent precious time with in her youth.

Mary’s family would like to thank the tireless, loving staff at Smilow Cancer Hospital and Connecticut Hospice, who cared for her during the last months of her illness. A private memorial service will be held with family members. For those seeking to make a donation, please contact Connecticut Hospice of Branford.
