Mary L. (Luppino) Suess of Deltona, FL, formerly of Plainville, CT, passed away peacefully at Avery Heights on January 5, 2019. She is the widow of Stanley Suess. They shared 40 loving years of marriage.
Born in New Britain to the late Vincent J. and Catherine (Arena) Luppino. She attended St. Mary’s Parochial School, Nathan Hale Jr. High, and New Britain Sr. High School, class of ’54.
In life, Mary played the fife in The O’Reilly’s Lassie Drum Corp. where she formed many lifelong friendships and where she met her first husband Albert Schade, of Troop 4 Drum Corp. She and Albert had 3 children, Maureen Schade, Michael Schade and Jeffrey Schade. Mary is predeceased by her son Michael and her sister Dorothy Luppino Connery. Mary was retired from Allcare Medications Services, formerly Appell Drug. After retirement, Mary and Stan moved to Deltona. They were both very active in the Deltona Elks Club.
Besides her two children, Mary is survived by her brother Vincent J. Luppino of New Britain; a granddaughter Molly and a grandson Dylan of Plainville; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at St. Joseph Church, 195 S. Main St., New Britain, at 11AM. Calling hours will be at the Luddy-Peterson Funeral Home, 205 S. Main St., New Britain, on Thursday, January 10, 2019 from 9:30 - 10:30AM. Burial will be at a later date. The family would like to thank the staff at Avery Heights for their compassionate and attentive care for their mother.
