Maryann Hausman

Maryann (Bowers) Hausman, 83, of New Britain passed away March 28, 2018. Maryann was born in Hartford on July 30, 1934 to the late Andrew and Mary Bowers.

Maryann worked for the city of New Britain, in the Town Clerk’s office for 29 years. She loved to play bingo and to go to the casino. She loved to crochet and was always making afghans for her family, friends and for patients in local nursing homes. Maryann loved German shepherds and owned them throughout her life. Friends and family always considered her to be a lot of fun and she was well known for her delicious fudge.

Maryann is predeceased by her husband of 41 years, Walter Hausman, Jr. She is also predeceased by her three sisters, Alice Newman, Frances O’Brien, and Irene Sprague and her brother Jackie Bowers. Maryann leaves behind her son Walter Hausman, III, and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Nancy O’Brien, Mary Beth O’Brien, and Pete Martino for all of their help and support they gave to the family.  They would also like to thank Masonicare for all of their help as well.
