Michael Jamieson Obituary

It is with great sadness that the family of Michael Philip Jamieson (61) announces his unexpected passing on Saturday, October 13th. He was the son of Royce Jamieson and Janice (Jamieson) Santillo. He was born in Machias, Maine and resided in Meriden. He will be lovingly remembered by his daughters Nicole and Alexa Jamieson; his son-in-law Jose Alejandro; his sister Jeanine Rowe; and his niece and nephew Melissa and William Rowe. He was predeceased by his nephew Robert Rowe and step-father Thomas Santillo. He also leaves behind 3 beautiful grandchildren Isiah Casillas, Alexander Alejandro, and Madeline Alejandro, along with his former spouse Kimberly (Jamieson) Mascola. He will be greatly missed by his closest and dear friends Barbara Orzech and Kenneth Donahue.

Mike served 2 years in the U.S. Navy in his 20's and worked at various manufacturing and trucking jobs throughout the years. The last job he held was at Pratt and Whitney in Southington. It was after his shift on February 16, 1989 that he was involved in a serious accident and lost his eyesight. Although this kept him from working, it did not stop his strength. Mike enjoyed football, fishing, gambling, winning, John Wayne movies, good food and being right all of the time, however, his greatest joy was spending time with his family.

Mike either liked you or he didn't and either way you knew it. It was black and white with him. He always told the truth and said what was on his mind whether you wanted to hear it or not. If you ever asked Mike why his girls are so tough or how his grandchildren got to be so beautiful, he would tell you "because they're Jamiesons" and that was that.

Following his wishes there will not be a service, as he didn't want anyone to see him in his afterlife that was never around before (his words, minus a couple four letter words, not mine). Therefore, Mike will be cremated as he requested. A celebration of life will be held at PLAV 193 East Main Street, Meriden on Sunday, October 21st between 1pm- 3pm.

We love and miss you daddy.
