Muriel (Bedard) Shepard Michaud

Muriel (Bedard) Shepard Michaud of New Britain, Connecticut, age 96, found peace in the arms of our Lord on Friday, September 20, 2019. Born June 24, 1923, in Lewiston, ME, she was a devoted mother and homemaker. Muriel was outgoing and friendly by nature. She loved to keep busy by creating joy for others. Whether it was by baking, sewing, or crocheting for the missions, crafting fun hats or artful arrangements, it was important to Muriel to be productive. She greatly enjoyed her projects and was rightly proud of her accomplishments.
 
Muriel is survived by her sons Douglas Shepard and his wife Betty of Southington, CT; Raymond Shepard of Stuart, FL; Donald Michaud and his wife Pauline of  Stuart, FL; her daughters Linda Stagg and her husband Philip of Deltona, FL; Carol Bragg and her husband Kenneth of Wethersfield, CT; and Marlene Michaud of Plainville, CT. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. She also leaves her sisters Loretta Pelletier, Georgette Gjerpen and Dorothy Daigle. Muriel was predeceased by her beloved son, Gregory Shepard.
 
The family will receive both family and friends on Monday, September 30th at 10:00 AM at Luddy-Peterson Funeral Home, 205 South Main St., New Britain, CT.  A mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00AM at St. Joseph Church, 195 South Main St, New Britain. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
