It is with great sadness the family announces the death of Veronica B. “Ronnie” Bougor. She peacefully joined her husband and sons on Thursday, April 19th, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. Veronica spent her childhood in Plainville, CT with her parents John and Sophie Kopycinski as well as her sisters Mary Rossitto, Helen Arena, Nancy Czewinski, Agnes Thayer, Florence Aparo, and her brothers John and Walter Kopycinski. She married the love of her life, David John Bougor, in November of 1951 at St. Joseph Church in New Britain, CT. Veronica loved to cook family dinner on Sunday’s. She loved going fishing, her laugh was contagious and dancing the polka always put a smile on her face. She loved her family and her family loved her. She is survived by her daughter Kathy, and her husband, Miguel Santiago; her three grandchildren, Marie and her husband Derek Vitale, Michael and his wife JoAn Santiago and Melissa and her husband, Paul Carrubba; four great grandchildren Kaitlyn, Kalista, Lauren, and David; as well as her sister Florence Aparo; and her neice, Janice who spent many days with her; and many other beloved nieces and nephews. She was reunited on this day with her loving husband David and her beloved sons David Jr. and John as well as her siblings and brother and sister in laws. Calling hours will be held at Luddy-Peterson Funeral Home, 205 South Main Street, New Britain, CT on Tuesday, April 22nd, 2018 between the hours of 8:30 and 10:30AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday at 11AM at St. Joseph Church, next to the funeral home, followed by internment at St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain. There is no night without a dawning. No winter without a spring. And beyond the dark horizon our hearts will once more sing. For those who leave us for a while have only gone away.
