Angelo Michael Casanelli, Jr., 85, of Wethersfield, CT, passed away, November 21, 2024, after a brief illness. Born and raised in Hartford’s south end, he spent his adult life in Wethersfield. Upon graduating Holy Trinity High School class of 1958, he went to work for the CT State DOT as a surveyor until retirement and spent 28 years in the Air National Guards as a mechanic. Ange’s garage never held a car, but always had any random thing a friend or family member might need, like a sink, tire or water heater! He liked music, especially Barbra Streisand, and as a younger man enjoyed, skiing, square dancing and judo. In recent years he has loved riding his Gold Wing with his breakfast buddies, “The Old Fart’s Club”. Ange will be best remembered for his loyalty and his willingness to help anyone, anytime. He was predeceased by his father, Angelo Casanelli, Sr., his mother Amelia Nardini Casanelli and his sister Delores Pattison. He leaves his beloved children, Michael R. Casanelli, and Maria Casanelli (Jose) Quiles, his adored grandchildren Michael C. (Rebecca) Casanelli, Leah (Seth)Daily, Selah Quiles, and Faith Quiles; his sister, Gaetanna (Robert) Hull; nephew Robert (Jackie) Hull, nieces Christine (Marc) Greenberg and Linda Hull (Allyson Parrott), plus several grand nieces, a grand nephew and many cousins and friends. A service to celebrate his life will be held graveside at Rose Hill Cemetery in Rocky Hill, followed by a reception to be announced @ the end of the service December 7, 2024 @ 11 AM.
