Andrew James Pierce

Andrew James Pierce Jr., known affectionately to family and friends as PJ, passed away on March 17, 2026, at the age of 49. Born on February 22, 1977, in Montgomery, Alabama, to the late Anita "Cookie" Pierce and Andrew Pierce Sr.

PJ grew up to become a man whose warmth, generosity, humor, and unforgettable smile left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him. PJ enjoyed watching sports, especially football and basketball. PJ also loved to cook and was a wonderful cook, and, above all else, was a family man. His pride and joy were his sons, Jamir and Justin, both of Torrington, CT, and his daughter Alexis of Atlanta, GA. In addition to his children, PJ was survived by his wife, Carol, of Torrington, CT, his brother, Michael Pierce, of Atlanta, GA, his aunt Bettye Moore of Montgomery, AL, and his uncle Andre (Brandi) Moore of Atlanta, GA, as well as by many extended family members and friends who will all miss him terribly. 

In addition to his late mother, Cookie, PJ was preceded in death by his grandparents Joseph Ivery, Willie James Moore, and Arwilda Moore, and his aunts Juliette Yancey and Karen Dickson. 

Services and burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
