Angel L. Maldonado, 56, of New Britain, passed away Friday February 2, 2018. He is survived by his mother Carmen M. Maldonado and his long-time companion Gloria Lopez.
Angel was full of life. Many friends knew him as Angel “Bobby” Maldonado or as “Wichin.” He loved food, whether he was cooking it or eating it. He enjoyed to fish when ever he could. In his free time, he would enjoy a few action movies or lifting weights. Angel truly “Loved life and enjoyed it to the fullest.” He would help out anyone who needed it and he loved all people and children.
Angel leaves behind his children Miguel A. Maldonado and Angel Maldonado; his sisters Gloria E. Maldonado, Lolita Varela, Carmen Lidya Viruet, Zulma I. Varela and her children Kenneth and Nashalie Ortiz, Luz M. Varela, Margarita Varela, Ana R. Varela, and Nereyda Varela; his brothers Osvaldo Varela, Jose A. Varela and Raul Varela; his uncles Jorge Maldonado, Jesus Maldonado, Nester Maldonado, Haydee Maldonado, and Luis Maldonado; and his grandchildren Miguel A. Maldonado, Jr., Sandra E. Maldonado, Jayda Liz Maldonado, and Jaden Elijah Maldonado; and many cousins.
Angel and Gloria had many wonderful years together and he loved her family as his own. He leaves behind her son Edgardo Lopez, and her daughter Jessica Schwartz and her husband Brian; her nephew Julian Pereira and niece Somaya McDermott; and her grandchildren Donovan Lopez and Abriana Schwartz.
Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Monday, February 5, 2018 from 3:00- 5:00 PM at Luddy-Peterson Funeral Home, 205 S. Main St., New Britain, CT.
