Anthony “Tony” Delldonna, 82, of New Britain,  son of the late Dominic and Anna (Mele) passed peacefully on June 8, in the presence of his loving family.

He leaves behind his beloved wife of 31 years, Cheryl (Gallow) Delldonna, his children James (Debra Jo) Delldonna, Peggi (Bill) Camosci, Christine J. Delldonna and David Delldonna; grandchildren Robert (Emily) Delldonna, Kristen Delldonna, Timothy (Kristen) Dudanowicz, Taylor and Chelsea Tambis, and five great-grand children. Anthony was also loved and embraced by his second family; Christopher (Barbara) and Anthony Pandolfi, Nicolas Duval, Michaela (Curtis) and Gabriella Thierling, Fred de’Arango and family, Sharon (Donald) Lapila and family, and his sister Katherine (Paul) Conte and family.

Tony was predeceased by his brother, Carmen and wife Susi, and his sister-in-law, Jane Gallow.

Tony was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. His family meant everything to him. He was proud to call New Britain his lifelong home. Tony retired from the New Britain Public Works Dept. after 44 years. He was a devoted community volunteer for NBGH, St. John the Evangelist Church, NB Elks, Fidelco, Race for the Cure, St. Maurice senior lunches, and Muddy Brook School. One of the many highlights of his life was playing at the Orange Bowl with his 1955 NBHS state champion football team and sharing a life long friendship with his three buddies, Harry, Lenny, and Pat.

Special thanks to Barbara, Jimmy and Ned Cass and the many caregivers who provided him with compassion and comfort in his home.
