Barbara Ann Rivers-Tomlin

Barbara Ann Rivers-Tomlin, 78, of Meriden CT, died peacefully Sunday, March 10, 2024, at Miller Memorial Nursing Home, Meriden CT after a long battle with dementia.

Barbara was born on Nov 16, 1945, in Albany NY. She was the eldest daughter of the late Chester and Lois Eseltine-Rivers.

Barbara was a graduate of Franklin Academy High School, Malone NY and served in the Marines.

 She was employed with Keep Me Home, Home Makers and Companions as a CNA prior to her illness.

Barbara had a lifetime love and passion for quilting, sewing, crocheting, knitting and embroidery.

Barbara enjoyed visiting and spending time with her daughters, grandchildren, and family members.  

Barbara is survived by her daughters Darlene Timosevich, Donna Moon and LeeAnn Russell of Richmondville NY., 10 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and 4 siblings, Michael (Jackie) Rivers, Terri Rivers and Susan Alford of Meriden CT , Chester E. Rivers of Ohio and many nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Barbara was predeceased by her siblings, Martha Rivers, Timothy Rivers, Charles Rivers, and Stephen Rivers.

Private services will be held. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Miller Memorial Nursing Home (Memory Care Unit) in Meriden CT.
