Bernard J. Ringrose, long time resident of Kensington, passed away on January 30th at the age of 98. Born in New Britain, he was the son of Judge Elias T. Ringrose and Anne (Conley) Ringrose. He attended New Britain schools, Mt. St. Charles, RI and Fairfield University. He was employed by the City of New Britain Parks and Recreation Dept. He had an affinity for gardening. He is survived by his children: Bernard, Mary Vasques, Matthew of Durham, Daniel (Lucy) of Wethersfield, Michael, and William; his grandchildren: Jennifer (Geer), Eric, Jared, Daniel, and Joseph; and his great-grandchildren Jayson and Canyon. He was pre-deceased by his wife Joan (Prior) Ringrose and his siblings: Mary, Elias, James, Anne, and Thomas. Calling hours will be on Friday February 6th from 4:00 – 6:00 pm at Luddy-Peterson Funeral Home, 205 S. Main St, New Britain. A mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Paul’s Church, 485 Alling St. Berlin on Saturday February 7th at 10:00 am followed by burial at St. Mary’s Cemetery, New Britain.
