Beverly Spencer

Beverly Spencer, age 85 of Berlin, CT., widow of LeRoy D. Spencer, entered into eternal rest on Saturday September 10, 2022 at Apple Rehab of Cromwell, surrounded by the love and comfort of her family

Beverly was born on July 5, 1937, in New Britain, CT.; the beloved daughter of the late Kenneth & Mary (Marhefka) LaClair. She attended local Newington and New Britain schools.

Beverly was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many. She worked for many years at Dotson, Honeywell, CJ’s Restaurant, and Stop ‘n’ Shop. Beverly enjoyed playing cash words and playing cards with her family. She will miss walking down memory lane with her sisters and attending Christmas with the family. Beverly will be missed deeply by all who had the honor of knowing her.

In addition to her parents, Kenneth & Mary, and husband, LeRoy; Beverly is predeceased by her: daughter, Deborah Elsinger; sister, Linda Edwards; and brother, Richard LaClair.

Beverly leaves behind her: son, Roy Allen Spencer and wife Kathy; son, Kerry Spencer and wife Maryann; daughter, Laura Chute and husband Gary; son-in-law, Robert Elsinger; many loving grandchildren: Heather Gates and husband Adam, Jill Koch and husband Chaz, Michael Spencer and wife Becki, Lisa Elsinger and husband Mike, Samantha Backofen and husband Kyle, Mathew Spencer, Jeffrey Spencer; three great-grandchildren, Adalia, Ben, Deborah; three sisters, Dolores Bourgeois; Elaine Barnard; Claire LaClair; close friend, Jan Beliveau; several nieces, nephews, cousins and host of extended family and friends who will cherish her memory.

Friends may greet the family on Wednesday, September 14, 2022, from 9:00AM – 11:00AM at Luddy-Peterson Funeral Home, 205 South Main Street, New Britain, CT. 06051. Interment will immediately follow to St. Mary’s Cemetery, New Britain, CT.
