Beverly Tinder, a lifelong resident of New Britain, passed away peacefully on April 3, 2026, surrounded by the love of her daughters. She had just celebrated her 74th birthday.
Born in New Britain, CT Beverly was the daughter of the late Ralph Casella and Dorothy Casella, also of New Britain. She attended public schools in New Britain.
Beverly was preceded in death by her beloved husband, David A. Tinder. She is survived by her children: Heidi Kuhnly and her husband Shannon Kuhnly, Amy Vaughan and her husband Jamie Vaughan, and Kimberly Tinder. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Madisyn Kuhnly, Kaitlyn Vaughan-Carmack and her husband Matthew Carmack, Liberty Vaughan, and Aaron and Alyssa Boronese, along with many memories that will live on through them. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews with whom she had cherished relationships with.
Beverly was known for her quick wit, her humor, and a personality that came with absolutely no filter, something those who loved her will always remember and smile about. Above all, she enjoyed spending time outdoors in her backyard and hosting picnics and attending parties with her family, creating simple moments that meant the most. Everyone looked forward to her famous doctored up baked beans. She also had a special love for a McDonald’s Filet-O-Fish sandwich, tartar sauce on the side, a treat she always enjoyed indulging in.
She spent many years working at Reflexite Corporation on South St in New Britain before finishing her career as a bus monitor with DATTCO, also in New Britain, where she continued to connect with others in her own unique and caring way.
Beverly’s strength, humor, and unmistakable personality will be deeply missed but never forgotten by those who knew and loved her.
A private graveside service will be held by the family at a later date.
Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery in New Britain, CT.
The family would like to thank the Hospital of Central Connecticut for their kindness and compassionate care they provided the family during this difficult time.
May she forever rest in peace.
