Brenda M. Fair age 67, sadly lost her battle with cancer and passed away on March 1, 2019 at Hartford Hospital in Hartford, CT surrounded by her family. Brenda was born on June 28, 1951 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Henry and E. Mary (Trent) Fair. She settled in Detroit, Michigan for many years. She then traveled to various states before moving to New Britain, CT three years ago. She retired from Michigan Bell, where she was a telephone operator, and also worked in the mailroom.
Brenda is survived by her son, Marlin Eugene Fair and his wife Lindy of Windsor, Ontario, Canada; six grandchildren, Marlin Eugene Fair Jr., Mark Eugene Fair, Mylah Fair, Keyontae Fair, Aniyah Fair, Jonah Bell; a brother, Henry Douglas Fair, five sisters, Patricia (Wesley) Adams, Yvonne Diane Spellman, Sandra Karen Gittens, Sheila Fair-Osborn, Yvette Newton, one aunt Susan Smith and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. She also leaves behind great friends who always could depend on her for a great laugh. She was predeceased by a grandson Marquan Fair and her parents.
Brenda will always be remembered for her sense of humor and her love of cooking. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at Tree of Life Missionary Baptist Church, 6157 Belvidere, Detroit, Michigan, 48213 on Saturday, March 30, 2019. There will be a family hour at 12:00 p.m. and the Memorial Service will begin at 1:00 p.m.
