Carl Danielson Obituary

Carl G. Danielson “Pep”, age 84, was welcomed into the loving arms of Jesus on Tuesday, September 13, 2022.   He was born on September 20, 1937 in Creve Coeur, Missouri.  He proudly served in the Air Force and was stationed at Loring Air Force Base in Limestone, Maine where he met his wife Theresa of 62 years.  He was employed at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft in Southington before retiring in 1993.

He enjoyed his family above all else and will be remembered for his ability to make anyone smile, laugh, feel welcomed and loved.   He was a kind and gentle soul.  He made friends everywhere he went and he always had a story to tell.   He was a Red Sox & Celtics fan; he was a kid at heart and had enjoyed countless games of wiffleball and video games with his children and grandchildren.

Carl is survived by his wife Theresa (Thibodeau) of Windsor, CT; daughter Carla Lonardo and her husband Thomas of Cheshire, CT; son Mark Danielson and his wife Sheree of Bristol, CT; daughter Karen Dallaire and her husband Steven of Windsor, CT; and son Kevin Danielson and his wife Nelda of Naugatuck, CT; 12 grandchildren Kimberly Simone & husband John, Erik Peterson, Stephen Danielson, Michael Danielson, Ryan Gallicchio and wife Alyssa, Matthew Rucci, Kristina Rucci, Andrew Rucci, Thomas Danielson, Lydia McMains and her husband Matthew, Juliana Rizzo and her husband Joshua, and Luke Danielson; 8 great grandchildren Ella Simone, Maya Simone, John Simone, Elijah Danielson, Giada Gallicchio, Aria Gallicchio, Lily Burtnett, Emily Burtnett; brother-in-law Martin Thibodeau and his wife Muriel, brother-in-law Father Ray Thibodeau; brother-in-law Normand Paradis; many nieces and nephews, as well as a host of extended family.

He was predeceased by his father Gustaf Danielson and mother Pearl Athey as well as 3 half-brothers Dale Horton, William Horton and Sterling Horton. 

A private memorial & funeral ceremony with military honors will be held at the VA Cemetery in Middletown, CT with only immediate family members present.
