Carmen Perreault Obituary

Carmen Perreault who was born on December 16,1955 passed away on May 23,2023 at the age of 67 surrounded by her husband, kids, and niece at New Britain General Hospital.

Carmen is preceded in death by her mother Thomasa Perez, father Cosmo Sr, brothers Antonio, Maselino, Cosmo Jr, and sister Edna.  She is survived by her husband Bruno Gamarra, two children Aladino Romero and his wife Alissa, daughter Jenny Dubowsky and her husband Raymond, grandchildren Alexander, Kianna Jennaliz, and Joseph, her niece Marta Kedzior, four beautiful great grandchildren, and many more nieces and nephews.

From a young age Carmen was always a high energy person who loved caring for her kids, family and traveling. Carmen was very smart and a go getter who refused to settle.  While working at Pratt and Whitney, she advanced and was finally able to retire after over 30 years of service as a aircraft machine engineer. After retiring, she was able to travel and spend much of her time with her family and friends enjoying what the world had to offer her.

Carmen will be missed by all who knew her and all whom she helped. She was the strongest woman who could overcome many obstacles put in her way like coming from a prominent Spanish speaking home but learning English on her own, teaching her kids the language and teaching them how to swim, ride a bike, roller skate when she was never taught herself. She was, and will continue to be loved by many for her bluntness, for her wisdom, and for speaking her mind.

Services will be private with information being provided by her family and in lieu of flowers, please make your donations to a charity of your choice.
