Carolyn J. Festa

Carolyn J. Festa (McLaughlin), 58, passed away at her home in Simsbury, CT on July 20, 2020.

She was born on May 23, 1962 in Woodstock, New Brunswick, Canada to Marvin and Phyllis McLaughlin. Early on in her childhood, they moved to Meriden, CT where she grew up. She graduated from Maloney High School in 1980 and went on to work in the banking industry and become a mother, which she would always tell you was her favorite job. She was a Boston Red Sox fan, just like her Dad. She loved the outdoors, gardening, fishing and had a soft spot for all animals. Her “pet project” was attempting to domesticate a feral cat, affectionately known as Gus.

She is survived by her sister Jo-Anne Barrett, brother-in-law Jeffrey Barrett, daughter Jamie Kuhns and her fiance Neil Novak, daughter Alicia Peck, son-in-law Bill Peck, step daughter Anna Flaws, niece and goddaughter Courtney Wiley and her husband Andrew Wiley, great nephew Andrew Wiley Jr, Grand Pups Kermit and P-Nut as well as aunts, uncles and cousins in Maine and Canada.

She was a loving Mother, Sister, Aunt and Friend and will be greatly missed.
