Carolyn A. (Dumais) LaFlamme,73 died peacefully on January 10, 2021 in her home in Kensington, CT surrounded by her loving family. Carolyn was born in New Britain, CT on May 18, 1947. She was pre-deceased by her parents Carl Dumais, Sarah (Muse) Dumais, brother Scott Dumais and best friend Sharon Schieding.
A lifelong resident of Kensington, she attended Quinnipiac University and had a career in the medical field, 15 years in the OBGYN department at New Britain General Hospital and 10 years as an office manager for a private physician practice.
After her medical career she paired her love of gardening with managing Johnson’s Garden Center in Kensington.
Carolyn spent her winters looking forward to enjoying her days gardening or poolside accompanied by her husband and often with her children or grandchildren. A part of most summers, Carolyn could be found enjoying the sun, sand and seas along the coast of Maine.
She will be remembered for her contagious laugh, keen sense of humor and a smile that could brighten up any room. She will be forever loved and missed.
Surviving is her loving husband of 57 years Richard LaFlamme, her children Machelle Strazzulla (David), Jeffery LaFlamme and Milissa Burnett (Jeffrey). She was also an adoring Grammi to seven grandchildren, Nicole, Nathan and Nicholas Strazzulla, Hilary Radun, Alexander and Benjamin Collins, Makaila Dugan and a great grandson, Kolton Radun. She cherished her time with them.
In addition, she is survived by her sisters, Ramona Ludecke, Marla Daniels and her brother Carl Dumais, several nieces, nephews, extended family and dearest friends John and Teresa Schieding.
Luddy Cremation Care/205 South Main Street/New Britain, CT/ is in charge of the arrangements.
