Charles William Hinckley of Torrington, CT passed away in peace at the age of 62. He was born in Bridgeport, CT, graduated from Central High School, and also pursued a degree in Social Work from Ashford University. Charles worked at the Stamford Advocate as a Pressman for over two decades, and most recently was a Medical Transportation Driver assisting patients throughout Litchfield County. Charles was the son of the late Dorothy Francis; and loving father of Tahnee Garay, Jamie Hinckley, and his son-in-law Eric Garay. Proud grandfather of Calvin Kanlong, Aeliana Dorso and Cire Garay. Brother of Joanna Francis and Maryjane Moleski; and his closest cousin Stacy Quinn. He was further survived by many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Charles will be fondly remembered as a man of faith, who spread his kindness, warmth and compassion with so many people during his journey. He led a bible study weekly, that was welcome to all whom wanted to participate. He was also passionate about wood carving, and frequently handcrafted special pieces for family, friends or others in need. Charles found the most joy when he was surrounded by people, and sharing his exuberant spirit with the masses.
