Charles Thomas Smith Jr.

Charles Thomas Smith Jr., longtime resident of New Britain, CT passed away on Thursday, September 26th, 2024. He was 79 years of age.

Born in Middletown, CT, he was the son of Charles Thomas Smith Sr., and (mother) Jean Smith. Charles attended Pulaski Senior High School in New Britain and was the graduating class of 1963. He also attended St. Michael’s college in Colchester, VT and graduated in 1967 with a business degree. Charles worked most of his life as a pharmaceutical consultant.

Charles enjoyed chopping wood and watching football, especially the NY Giants on cold Fall and Winter weekends. He loved being home with his wife and children. His favorite pastimes were cooking for family and friends and listening to smooth jazz on Sunday mornings on lite 100.5

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Victoria Ann Smith, his oldest child, Christopher Scott Smith, his daughter in law Kristi Smith, and his two granddaughters, Alexandra Lynn and Charlotte Marie Smith. He is also survived by his youngest child, Tracy Lynn Smith.

Funeral mass will be private at Sacred Heart Church in New Britain on Friday, October 4, 2024 @ 9:30am.
