Cheryl Ann Lee (Dufresne), age 64, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2025, in New Haven,
Connecticut. Born on March 11, 1961, in Meriden, Connecticut, she brought warmth and
kindness to all who knew her.
Cheryl was a devoted mother to her loving son, Jeffrey T. Lee Jr., and his fiancé, Michelle
Frahm, and a proud grandmother to her cherished grandson, Matthew Charles Lee. Cheryl’s
family was the center of her world, and she held close relationships with her mother, June
Gerace Dufresne; her sister, Diane Stone; and her brothers, Brian and Wayne Dufresne. She
also treasured her nieces, Christina Velez and Brittany. Her heart extended beyond family to
include lifelong friendships with Barbara Robinson and Robert Tardiff.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jeffrey Lee Sr.; her father, Leo Dufresne;
and her nephew, James Stone.
Cheryl had a passion for cooking and baking that filled many homes with delicious aromas and
heartfelt memories. Whether preparing meals for loved ones or sharing recipes with friends, she
found joy in nourishing others. One of her greatest pleasures was shopping for gifts for her
grandson Matthew—each item chosen with love and care. She also enjoyed long conversations
with friends that could stretch into the night, always offering a listening ear and thoughtful words.
Her loyal dog Bobo was never far from her side and brought daily companionship and comfort.
Her caring nature touched many lives. Cheryl had an open heart and was always ready to lend
support or share laughter. Those who knew her will remember not only the meals she lovingly
prepared but also the warmth of her presence.
May Cheryl’s memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.
There will be no formal services at the funeral home. A summer gathering TBA.
