Daniel J. Sullivan, Jr.

Daniel J. Sullivan, Jr., longtime resident of Berlin, passed away on September 21, 2022 at the age of 78. 
Born in Hartford CT, he was the son of the late Daniel J. Sullivan, Sr. and Mary O'Leary Sullivan. 
He graduated from St. Joseph's School and St. Thomas Aquinas High School where he developed many special long-lasting friendships.  He earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Hartford. He enrolled in the U.S. Army and served in the reserves. Dan was President of UPDATE Incorporated, a management consulting and education service. He was a member of St. Paul Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus.  He was also a loyal sports fan, especially watching UConn Huskies basketball, but his favorite pastime was spending time with family and friends.  Dan enjoyed traveling, especially cruising, and was an avid reader. He was always interested in learning new things.
Dan is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Veronica Wassil Sullivan; daughters, Carrie Sullivan and Julie Hunt; son in-law, Steven Hunt; and grandchildren Ryan, Sean and Anna Hunt.  He is survived by his sister, Catherine Sullivan and his brother in-law Robert Benden; his sister in-law, Laurie Margentino; many nieces and a nephew; as well as many close family members and friends.  
In addition to his parents, Dan was predeceased by his: father-in-law Anthony Wassil and mother-in-law Veronica Wassil; and brothers-in-law Anthony Wassil and Robert Margentino.Friends and family may call at the Luddy-Peterson Funeral Home, 205 S. Main St., New Britain, CT. 06051 on Friday, September 30, 2022 from 9:30AM-11:00AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30AM at Saint Paul Church located at 485 Alling St., Kensington, CT.  A private burial will be at the convenience of the family.
