Daniel Adam Szabat

Daniel Adam Szabat of Waterbury, CT passed away unexpectedly on November 10, 2020 at the age of 43.

Born in Waterbury, CT he was the son of the late Zygmunt J. Szabat, his mother, Claudine Galitello, and his stepmother, Kathleen Szabat. Dan grew up in Southington and attended Southington High School. He recently started studies at Post University in hopes of getting a degree in psychology.

Dan spent his working days as a cook at various restaurants and Country Clubs. He liked to cook and could always put a new spin on a dish. He enjoyed working on cars, fishing, hanging out with his brother Josh, and helping anyone who needed a hand. He was an avid Steelers and Red Sox fan. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him and loved him.

In addition to his mother and stepmother, Dan is survived by his children, Julia, Daniel, Jr. and Gabriella, his brother, Josh Szabat, his grandmother, Winifred Messner, and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Christopher Szabat.

Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to Luddy-Peterson Funeral Home, 205 South Main Street, New Britain, CT.
