David Maher, 77 of Middletown passed away on Sunday November 7, 2021 at the Hospital of Central Connecticut surrounded by family. Dave was born August 6, 1944 in Holyoke Massachusetts. He was the beloved husband of Linda (Doskus) Maher for the last 27 years.
Dave was a Veteran of the United States Air Force. He retired from the United States Post office after working for 20 years as a rural carrier and then a window clerk. Dave had a love of sports; specifically, golf, the New York Yankees and the New York Giants. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and his dog Maddy.
Besides his wife Linda, Dave is survived by his sons; Brian Maher and his wife Stephanie of New Jersey, Bob Keegan and his wife Jamie of Meriden, daughter; Linda Murphy and her husband Patrick of Ohio, grandchildren; Ava Maher and Sophia Maher of New Jersey, Kassie Keegan of Meriden, Amanda Keegan and her partner Erik Carlson of North Branford, Chris Murphy and his partner Stephanie McGraw of Kentucky, and great granddaughter Ellie Murphy of Kentucky. He also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews as well several friends. Dave was predeceased by his parents Thomas and Ruth Maher, his brother Pete Maher as well as his mother-in-law Marjorie Reilly.
