Doreen J. Bacon

Doreen J. Bacon, 68, of Berlin, CT (formerly of Orange, MA) passed away on Saturday 12/05/2020 after a year long courageous battle with cancer. Born on January 2, 1952 in Athol, MA, she was the daughter of the late Beverly (Gordon) Conway and Norman Conway.

Doreen attended Athol High School, graduating in 1970 and Mount Wachusett Community College in 1972 with a secretarial degree. She retired in 2014 from the L.S. Starrett Co., in Athol MA, after 27 years of service. Doreen also worked at the Rodney Co., in Orange, MA , for 10 years as well as various part time jobs.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 48 years Harold, a son Marcus Bacon and his wife Nicole, a daughter Robyn (Bacon) Bennett and her husband Jonathan, four granddaughters Avery and Harper Bacon, Mikayla Basta and Tiffani Bennett, and a sister Karlene Robichaud of Haverhill, MA.

There will be no calling hours and burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Luddy-Peterson Funeral Home, 205 South Main St., New Britain, CT 06051 is assisting with the arrangements.
