Dorothy Blake

On Thursday, January 27, 2022, Dorothy (Scott) Blake, loving wife, sister, mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away at age 95. 

Dorothy was raised on a potato farm in Presque Isle, ME with her parents and 2 sisters. She attended and graduated from schools in Presque Isle, ME. Dorothy and her husband, Robert settled in CT where she worked at American Thread for 25 years. After retiring Dorothy became an active member of the McSweeney Regional Senior center. She enjoyed volunteering at the dental office, exercise classes, serving meals and playing on the Wii bowling team. Dorothy touched many hearts with her kind and calm demeanor. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Robert and her sister, Dolores.

She is survived by her sister Honey and husband Alden, her son Benjamin and his wife Lorie, her granddaughter Elizabeth, her great granddaughter Megan and numerous nieces and nephews. There will be a private family service.  

Donations in Dorothy’s name can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
