Eleanor Carol (Joray) Higley

TERRYVILLE, CT — Eleanor C. (Joray) Higley, 76, passed away peacefully on June 16, 2026. She was born on June 19, 1949.

Eleanor was the beloved wife of Ralph Higley Sr. of Terryville, Connecticut. They shared 60 wonderful years of marriage together.

She is survived by her children, Ralph Higley Jr. and his wife Marie, Tim Higley and his wife Sonia, and Tammy Oczkowski and her husband Chris. She also leaves behind several grandchildren and great-grandchildren who brought so much happiness to her life.

Eleanor was predeceased by her mother, Mildred Joray.

Family meant everything to Eleanor, and she loved them with all her heart. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and cherished every drawing and picture they made for her. She also loved being outdoors and found joy in watching birds and butterflies. Eleanor especially loved having picnics at Mount Tom State Park in Connecticut with her family.

She will be remembered for her kind heart, her dedication to her family, and her quiet strength.

Private services will be held at the family's discretion.
