Frances Joan Longo

Frances Joan Longo, age 90 of Berlin, CT, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, October 10, 2021 at Miller Memorial Community of Meriden.

Frances was born April 9, 1931 in Utica, NY; the beloved daughter of the late Francis Haggerty & Gladys (Frank) Durse.

Frances was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Before her retirement, she worked for many years as a cashier at FoodMart. Frances volunteered her time with the Berlin Animal Control.  She loved cats and would often foster strays while finding them their forever homes. She will be missed deeply by all who had the honor of knowing her.

Frances was predeceased by her two daughters, Patricia Cihon & Deborah Sullivan; and her sister, Sylvia Lavado.

Frances is survived by her: son, Nicholas Longo; five grandchildren, Michael Mockus of Kansas, Melissa Carey of Meriden, CT, Susan Peters of Grandby, CT, Joseph Mockus of Newington, CT. Christine Tully of Florida; five great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Ryan, Sean, Shane, Mckinley, two nieces, one nephew, and a host of extended family and friends who will cherish her memory.

A Memorial Service will be held at the graveside on Thursday, October 21, 2021 at 10:00AM at Cedar Hill Cemetery, 453 Fairfield Ave, Hartford, CT 06114. Share a special memory of Frances at www.luddyandpetersonfh.com.
