George Martin, II

George Leonard Martin, III passed away Thursday, December 27, 2018. Born to the late George Martin, II, and his wife Phyllis (Santoro) Martin in Waterbury, CT. George is predeceased by his wife, Nancy (Scorpio) Martin. After 47 years of marriage, George did not want to leave Nancy in heaven too long with out him, and he joined her just two days later.
George leaves behind their two sons, George Martin, Jr. and his companion Mandy of Plantsville, CT, and Jared Martin and his companion Michelle of Plantsville, CT. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and cousins.
George graduated from Naugatuck High School and went on to be an engineer. In his free time, George loved tending to his garden. He was especially proud when he mixed tomato seeds together, and bred the Ruby Red Tomato, naming it after his grandmother, Ruby.
Services for George will be held privately by the family at a later date.
