George Roche Obituary

George Joseph Roche, longtime resident of Bristol, passed away on 4-1-23. He was 93 yrs. Born on 8-1-
1929 in Bristol, CT, he was the son of Joanne (O’Regan) Roche and Cyril Roche. He attended St Joseph
School and Bristol Central Highschool (Memorial Blvd). He enlisted in the US Army and was stationed in
Korea, France, Hawaii and Fort Huachuca, Arizona where he met his wife, Gloria Rena (Quintero) Roche.
George and Gloria had 4 children: James, Darren and Sean Roche and Tina Roche Yard.
George was a Shipper/Expediter by trade. He was a long time Commander in the Civil Air Patrol,
Coached Little League and Division Baseball and Softball.
He is survived by his daughter Tina Roche-Yard, Brothers: Warren, Martin and Kenneth Roche. 4
Grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandson and numerous nieces and nephews.
A private Christian Mass and Burial will be held for the family. There are no calling hours.
