James "Bo" Nordin, 75, passed away in total peace and surrender Thursday morning May 29th, 2025, at
Wolcott Hall nursing facility. After battling in perseverance against COPD and pneumonia, he left this
earthly world to join his best friend, Jesus Christ, in his room well prepared. In the last days and even
years of his life, Bo rarely missed a Sunday church service or Monday night Bible study with his family.
He came most alive in the spirit and wouldn't hesitate to spread the sweet Gospel to anyone he talked
to. The conversation was that of lawn mowers, Jesus and how proud he was of his children and grand-
children. He was a spirit filled man and will be known for his many sayings, "God don’t make junk"
"Immanuel" and "All three are one."
Bo grew up in Detroit, Michigan but later moved his family to Washburn, Wisconsin where they raised 3
children; Robert Nordin, Shannon Nordin and Brian Nordin. He later settled in Ashland, Wisconsin where
he built for himself his comfort home. Bo was not one to travel often but after moving to CT to be closer
to his children, he enjoyed family vacations at Lake George, NY for classic car show weekends, camping
and fishing.
Bo leaves behind, to endure this race, his three beloved children; Robert & Christine Nordin of Springhill,
Florida; Shannon & John Harvey of Torrington, CT; and Brian Nordin of Waterbury, CT. Ten grand-
children; Derrick Brockamer, Adrianna Nordin, Jayleen Colon, Jordan; Leanna Harvey, Zoe, Jenna &
Alexandria Nordin, Ulani Martinez, Ryan Nordin and three great grand-children; Jeremiah Delices,
Azaleya Delices and Olivia Brockamer. He also leaves his brothers Kenneth "Butch" Nordin of Ashland,
Wisconsin; Gary Nordin of Virginia, Minnesota; and his sisters Barbara Nordin Halverson of Janesville,
Wisconsin and Ardith Nordin of Washburn, Wisconsin. He is pre-deceased by his father and mother
Edward and Jaqueline Nordin.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff and nurses of Wolcott Hall for the devoted care
towards Bo and endless re-fills of "double-double."
'Why get older, why not get better?"
2 Timothy 4:6-8 KJV
"For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I
have finished my course, I have kept the faith: henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of
righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but
unto all them also that love his appearing."
