Jan Latarski

Jan M Latarski, whom was a longtime resident of New Britain, passed away on August 11, 2025 after losing his battle with cancer. We find comfort in knowing he is now reunited in heaven with his wife and son.

Jan was born in Nowy Dwor Gdanski. He was the son of Jan and Leokadia Latarska. He is survived by his daughter Monika and his son in law Robert Kowal. He was a devoted Dziadzia (grandfather) to his two grandchildren Kaya and Jacob Kowal whom he loved deeply.

He was predeceased by his son Robert Latarski. Jan was also survived by his brother Czeslaw Latarski, his sister Jadwiga and her son Andrzej with family, and his late sister Bozena Latarska (82).

Jan had a great gift for telling the best stories, he could bring the past to life in a way that made everyone listen and laugh. Some of those stories we will never hear again.

Friends and family are invited to a memorial service that will be held on Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at 9:30 am at Sacred Heart Church located at 180 Broad St New Britain, Ct. A mass Christain burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
