Mother, family and friend Janet Garovoy widow of beloved Philip Garovoy passed on the 21st of May 2020
She leaves behind daughter Heather Colella of Texas and son Joseph Colella of Connecticut.
She will be missed by her siblings and their spouses Lucy Sineath, Celia (Bunny) Dziedzic and her treasured brother and sister-in-law Charles (Buddy) and his wife Diana Dziedzic.
She honors her Garovoy family: brother-in-law Stanley (d. 2015), his wife Enid, brother-in-law and wife and Marlene Berman, step-children: Cindy and John Boi, Vicky and Richard Kiszka, and Keith (Kit) and Cindy Garovoy and grandchildren Marcia, AJ, Jared, Kyle and Aaron.
She never met a dog without a treat in her pocket and had a knack for meeting people and instantly becoming friends. Her friends in California, Florida, Glastonbury, Iowa, and New Hampshire know that to be true. Her most enduring friendship was with Dolores (“Aunt Dodi”) Blanchette. They celebrated 71 years of friendship this year. She enjoyed Monday tea with her nieces and in better times playing cards and traveling with friends.
Born March 5th 1935 she was the daughter of the late Roger Dziedzic and Ruth Ozbet. She was preceded in death by sisters Joyce, Faith, Rose and Dolores; brothers Carl, Edward and Roger and brothers-in-law Fran, Jimmy and Tony.
As her daughter, making her laugh was always my joy. She will be missed.
