Janice Ingrid Rosen

Janice was 68 years old; born and raised in The Bronx, NY, she was the youngest of four children born to Aaron and Hannah Rosen. She was always a dedicated and hard worker having worked as a waitress, shop keeper, and a store owner of Stacy’s Sweet Shoppe. She retired after 18 years of employment in the security department at Sarah Lawrence College in Bronxville, NY; a job that she loved. She moved to Connecticut in 2011 from NY. Janice was an amazing cook, baker, artist, and an avid reader. She could renovate and redecorate an entire apartment in 2 days. There was nothing she couldn’t do. Her love for animals, the horror genre, and comedy specials were all a part of her wonderful character. More than anything, she was an amazingly beautiful soul who mothered and is survived by 2 daughters, Stacy Iemma (Wichman) and Erin Mack. Seeing her with her grandchildren whom she is survived by, Justin Wichman, Mackenzie Wichman, and Francisco Javier Reyes Jr. was to feel the immense love she had for them. Everyone around her loved her, she was a spectacular friend and is survived by her best friend of 52 years, Louise Sacco. Janice decided long ago that when it was her time to leave this Earth that services would not be held in her mourning but rather that those who wanted to would celebrate her and remember her for who she was. We know that she is somewhere with her loved ones who have also passed and all of her beloved animals she cared for over the years. She is so loved and so missed. Her memory will be carried on by all of us who knew and loved her.
