Jeanette J (Quintana) Saunders

Jeanette June Saunders longtime resident of West Haven, CT passed away on September 18th, 2025. She enjoyed her 82nd birthday on June 1st.

She was the daughter of Virginia and Joseph Quintana, born 1943. She enjoyed going to church, watching Soap Operas and spending time with her family.

Born in Colton, California, she graduated from Fontana High School. Jeanette loved the Lord and worshipped him any and everywhere. She will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, love and care. 

Jeanette was a woman of God and often helped family and friends in need; Jeanette never turned her back to anyone, “The lord tests us in mysterious ways” as she would always say.

She enjoyed oldies, country and gospel music, often singing along. She enjoyed sweet treats often and could be found enjoying a nice “chunk” of chocolate cake.

She is survived by her sisters, Denise “Renee” O’Mara and Sandra “Sandy” Walker as well as her brother Kenneth “Kenny” Quintana; her children Nellie Mathis, Shannon Conley, and stepson Charles “Chuckie” Saunders; as well as her grandchildren, Virginia, Kaeden, Tyler, Anjali and step-granddaughter Jessica.

She was predeceased by her late husband Charles, her mother Virginia, her father Joseph, her sisters Peggy and Carol where they will reunite in heaven with the Lord.
