Jeffrey Roden

Jeffrey Roden, 57, of Portland, CT, passed away on June 11th.

Jeffrey was born on May 17, 1966, to Raymond and Margaret Roden in New Britain, CT.  He attended St Joseph Elementary School and was an altar boy at the church.  After graduating from New Britain High School in 1984, he went to New England Technical Institute.

After graduation he worked as a Facility Engineer in the Goodwin Hotel in Hartford, CT, then continued on to manage a nursing home maintenance department.

In 2001 he married Julie Roden and had one son, Daniel Roden.

Jeffrey enjoyed working on his 1985 Monte Carlo SS with his son Daniel, and also enjoyed riding and working on his classic Harley Davidson.  He loved spending time at his family's lake cottage in Massachusetts.

Jeffrey was predeceased by his parents, Raymond and Margaret.  He is survived by his wife, Julie, and their son Daniel of Portland, CT, Mother-in-law, Jean Cognato, of Rocky Hill, CT, and his brother Timothy of New Britain, CT, as well several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Services are being held for Jeffery on June 21st at Luddy-Peterson Funeral Home at 205 South Main Street in New Britain, CT from 4:00 to 6:00 PM.
